Apex Legends is the most demanding competitive shooter for PC hardware. The Source engine pushes heavy particle effects, large map rendering, and physics calculations simultaneously. Getting stable 144+ FPS requires real attention to your settings.
The 110 FOV standard isn't arbitrary. Apex's movement system (sliding, wall bouncing, ziplines) creates constant close-range engagement opportunities. Wider FOV lets you track threats during repositioning. Check your optimal viewing angle with the FOV calculator to make sure your monitor distance supports it.
Range: 1.0 - 2.0 at 800 DPI. Apex requires higher sensitivity than Valorant or CS2 because of movement speed, sliding, and close-range tracking fights. I play at 1.2 at 800 DPI (960 eDPI) and it covers everything from R-301 beam tracking to Wingman flicks.

110 horizontal FOV is the competitive standard in Apex. Lower FOV gives you tunnel vision in a game built around movement. I tested 90 vs 110 for a week. At 90, I kept losing track of flanking players.
