The basics of item storage and inventory math.
In Minecraft, a stack of blocks contains 64 blocks. Most blocks and items stack to 64, filling one inventory slot. Some items like ender pearls, snowballs, and eggs stack to 16. Tools, weapons, armor, and potions cannot stack at all.
To calculate stacks: divide the total number of items by 64. Full stacks = floor(items ÷ 64). Leftover items = items mod 64. For example, 200 cobblestone blocks equals 3 full stacks plus 8 leftover blocks. For shulker boxes, divide the stack count by 27.
If you need 3,000 cobblestone blocks for a build, that is 46 stacks plus 56 extra items, which fits in two shulker boxes with room to spare. Knowing this before you start mining saves trips.
