Fortnite settings split into two camps: how your game looks and how your builds feel. The visual side is straightforward: low everything except view distance. The input side is more nuanced because you need fast 180s for box fights while maintaining shotgun accuracy.
Building binds matter more than sensitivity in Fortnite. If your wall/floor/stair placement takes two keypresses instead of one, no sensitivity will fix the delay. Get optimal binds first, then dial in your sens with the sensitivity converter.
Range: 5% - 10% at 800 DPI. Fortnite requires a balance between precise aim and fast building/editing. Most competitive players land around 6-8% X sensitivity at 800 DPI. I run 7% and find it comfortable for both shotgun flicks and edit sequences.
Convert your sensitivity| Setting | Recommended |
|---|---|
| Rendering Mode | Performance (DX11) or DX12 for newer GPUs |
| 3D Resolution | 100% (lowering it gets blurry fast) |
| View Distance | Far (affects chest/item visibility) |
| Shadows | Off (easier to spot players) |
| Anti-Aliasing | Off or Low |
| Textures | Low or Medium (frees VRAM for build rendering) |
