How Much Is Your Fortnite Account Worth? A Realistic Breakdown
How to estimate what your Fortnite account is actually worth based on rare skins, OG status, Battle Pass history, and V-Bucks balance. Includes a value reference table.
Fortnite accounts range from worthless to several thousand dollars. The difference is almost entirely about what's in your locker.
Epic Games won't tell you what your account is worth. They can't, because they've banned account sales in their Terms of Service. Acknowledging that accounts have market value would legitimize the exact secondary market they prohibit. So there's no official valuation feature and there never will be.
That doesn't stop people from wanting to know. Whether you're curious, planning a trade with a friend, or just want to quantify years of grinding, here's how to estimate it yourself.
What determines account value
Four things matter. Everything else is noise.
1. Rare and unobtainable skins
This is 80%+ of the value. Skins that cannot be acquired anymore create scarcity. The market prices these based on how long ago they were available, whether they ever returned to the Item Shop, and how recognizable they are.

These numbers fluctuate. They come from secondary marketplace listings (not endorsed by Epic) and represent what buyers have actually paid, not what sellers ask. Seller asking prices are typically 20-40% higher than what deals close at.
2. Battle Pass completeness
Each completed Battle Pass adds value because those items are locked forever. The earlier the season, the more it's worth.

The drop-off is steep because more players were active in later seasons, making those items less scarce.
3. V-Bucks balance
Straightforward math. V-Bucks on the account add value at roughly 70-80% of their purchase price. A 10,000 V-Bucks balance (normally ~$80 to buy) adds about $55-65 to the account value because the buyer could spend them immediately.

4. Account age and linked platforms
Older accounts are worth slightly more. Full platform access (PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, Mobile all linked) adds convenience value. An account locked to a single platform is less desirable.
Save the World Founders status (no longer available) adds $20-50 because it generates V-Bucks passively through daily rewards.
What doesn't matter much
- Win count and K/D — cosmetic buyers don't care about stats
- Account level — correlates with playtime but doesn't drive value independently
- Friend list or gift history — irrelevant to buyers
- Creative islands or maps — not transferable in a meaningful sense
How to estimate your total
A rough framework:
- List your rarest items. Check which Battle Passes you completed (Seasons 1-5 matter most) and which limited skins you own. Use the reference tables above.
- Add V-Bucks balance at 70% value.
- Add $20-50 if you have Save the World Founders.
- Subtract 20-30% for market friction. What you'd actually receive is less than the theoretical value because buyers negotiate, platforms take fees, and there's always supply of similar accounts.

Why Epic Games will never build this feature
Epic's Terms of Service Section 7 prohibits transferring accounts or selling access to them. They enforce this by banning accounts that show signs of being sold (email changes, sudden region switches, unusual login patterns).
If Epic built an official "account value" feature, they'd be acknowledging that accounts have resale value. That directly contradicts their position that accounts are non-transferable personal licenses. It would also invite more selling, more scams, and more support tickets.
This is the same reason Epic's help page for "Can I check how much my Fortnite locker is worth?" literally says "Epic Games does not support any websites or features to check the value of your Fortnite locker."
The V-Bucks you've spent vs. what it's worth
A common confusion: "I've spent $2,000 on V-Bucks, so my account is worth $2,000."
It's not. Most of what you bought is still available in the Item Shop for anyone to purchase. A skin you paid 1,500 V-Bucks for last week has zero resale premium because any buyer could just buy it themselves.
Value only exists for things a buyer cannot get on their own. That's the entire principle. If they can buy it in the shop tomorrow, it adds nothing to your account value.
