Measure your clicks per second across different durations and techniques. Compare your own sessions under the same conditions.

Where raw click speed matters and where it doesn't.
CPS (clicks per second) measures how fast you can repeatedly press a mouse button. The test is simple: click as many times as possible in a fixed window, then divide by elapsed seconds.
Mouse choice can change the result, but there is no universal number to expect. Switch force, button shape, debounce behavior, grip, fatigue, and test duration all matter. If you compare mice, use the same browser, mode, technique, and session length.
In Minecraft, the value of CPS depends on the version and server rules. Some combat systems limit attack timing, while some older or custom modes make repeated clicking more relevant. A CPS score should not be treated as a universal combat threshold.
For shooters, CPS rarely matters. Weapon fire rates are capped by the game engine. A semi-auto pistol in Valorant fires at a fixed rate regardless of click speed. The exception is spam-clicking abilities or utility in games like Roblox combat experiences.
Normal, jitter, butterfly, and drag clicking. What each one is and when it's useful.
Normal clicking uses a relaxed index finger. The result varies widely with the person and the test duration. It is the most useful baseline because it is easy to repeat without changing technique.
Jitter clicking uses controlled muscle tension to produce rapid micro-movements. It may raise a short test score, but it can create fatigue. Keep sessions short and stop if it becomes uncomfortable.
Butterfly clicking alternates two fingers on one button. It can produce a high test reading, but some servers restrict or flag the pattern. Check the rules before using it competitively.
Drag clicking uses friction between a finger and button surface to trigger repeated actuations. It can produce unusually high readings that are not comparable with normal clicking. Server rules vary, so check before using it in a game.
