Pixel density affects clarity and GPU load differently depending on what you play.
PPI matters most when you need to read small text, spot distant enemies, or pick out UI elements in cluttered HUDs. Tactical shooters and MMOs benefit from higher density because fine detail stays readable without leaning forward.
It matters less during fast motion. In Apex or Warzone, your eyes track movement, not individual pixels. A 32-inch 1440p at 92 PPI rarely shows a visible pixel grid mid-fight. The clarity shows up in menus, chat, and browser tabs between rounds.
The tradeoff is GPU cost. Jumping from 1080p to 1440p roughly doubles pixel count. Going to 4K quadruples it. Higher PPI usually means higher resolution, and your GPU pays the bill every frame.
